League Update

Dear Member Clubs,

We have been experiencing system problems over the last couple of days and as a result referees have not been allocated to matches for next weekend.

We will resolve this as soon as we can and will update as soon as there is any news.

Please bear with us and refrain from chasing committee members.

Many thanks.

League Update

Dear Member Clubs,

Firstly may I take this opportunity on behalf of the Management  Committee of wishing everyone a Happy New Year.

Can you please pass the messages below on to your Managers/Coaches.

Good luck to everyone that will be lucky enough to play this weekend as the weather is certainly not on our side at the moment. Please, Please remember if you have to postpone your match and are unable to reverse the fixture please pick up the telephone and call your opposition and referee ASAP as not everybody picks up emails and if a referee turns up to the venue and nobody is there they will be entitled to their full fee. Please also let your Fixture Secretary know.

Please keep an eye on Mitoo for any change in fixtures as you are all fully aware if a cup game gets postponed it will be moved to the following week, however we now have both cups running into each other and League Cup and League Shield will take priority over our Divisional Cups. We will do our best to get all changes done by a Sunday night.

You will see that we have now started to release fixtures for the U9 through to U12 Divisional Cups. Fixtures are being released on completion of Team Sheets being received from both Home and Away teams. We are currently waiting approximately 200 team sheets and if these are not received by the 14th of January we will assume that your teams do not wish to participate in the cup competitions. We will start chasing individual clubs so please do not email asking if your team sheet has been received or not, let us contact you.

Divisional Cups

Dear Member Clubs,

Re: Divisional Cups

The draws have now taken place for the U9, U10, U11 and U12 Divisional Cups. The first round for some of these Divisions are planned to take place on the 23rd of January 2016.

Please find attached a team sheet that needs to be completed for each of your teams registered in the Under 9's, Under 10's, Under 11's and Under 12's in our League. All the details you need to complete the team sheets can be found on Mitoo using your password for your team or alternatively on the players registration cards. Once these team sheets have been submitted you will be unable to change the boys/girls between the teams for the Divisional Cups only.

Please remember that in respect of the Under 9 and Under 10 age groups although your squad can be up to a maximum of 12 players you are only allowed to take 10 players to any cup match including the finals.

Any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards.

League Update

Dear Member Clubs,

Please note that there is a change to the date to the next League Meeting which will now be held on Thursday the 28th of January at The Shamrock Club.

U7 Fixtures - We would remind you that fixtures start on the 9th of January for the U7's. They will play for 2 weeks and then rest for 2 weeks. Work is now commencing on the Divisions behind the scenes.

U8 Divisions - As previously stated we are creating a few more Divisions in this age group and a lot of movements will be made to even out the size of the divisions.

U9 - U12 Age Groups - Final movements are being planned and will be completed after next weekends fixtures prior to the Divisional Cup Draws being made during the Christmas break.

Herts FA - I have been asked to remind all Clubs that their offices will be closed from Thursday 24th of December and will reopen on Monday the 4th of January.

Whole Game System - Can Clubs please keep an eye on their online accounts over the festive period as you can still respond to cases and make payment of any fines during this time.

On behalf of the Committee, I would like to wish all Players, Managers and Coaches a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Club Linesman Workshop

Dear Member Clubs,

The Mid Herts Rural Minors League are pleased to be able to inform you that we have arranged another Club Linesman Workshop to help your willing volunteers learn a little bit more about how to “run the line”.

The Workshop will be delivered by Hertfordshire FA’s Referee Development Officer (and ex-Premier League and FIFA Assistant Referee) Phil Sharp.

We have booked the main hall of the Shamrock Club in Welwyn Garden City for Thursday the 10th of December 2015 from 8.00 to 10.00 pm. The doors will be open from 7.45 pm.

Please pass this information onto your team managers who need to find a linesman each week. The Workshop is intended for the adult volunteers who need the help. It is not designed for already qualified Referees or for players who would like to become Referees. It is genuinely aimed at the keen adults who would like some helpful advice. Therefore, there is a minimum age of 18 for attendees.

Phil will make the evening fun, informative and active! I’m sure everyone who attends will learn a lot and have a good time. Participants do not need to bring anything along as everything needed will be provided.

In order to book a place, please ask your Club Linesmen to send an email to Gordon Marshall, our Referee Development Officer at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

We will strictly only accept individual bookings please and we will not accept block bookings from Clubs.

Although there will be no charge for the Workshop, the League hopes that people who book to attend actually do so as non-attendance deprives a place to someone else that wanted to be there. Places are limited to 30 so make sure the applications are sent in as soon as possible. Full details will be sent directly to participants.

These Workshops are popular, we will aim to repeat it, possibly at another venue next year.

Kind regards.

League Update
Following last nights tragic events in Paris.  The League have been asked if they will support holding a minutes silence as a mark of respect before any games which are fortunate enough to go ahead tomorrow.

The League are fully in support of any team that wishes to take part in this mark of respect and would ask that they inform the opposition and Referee whom I sure, will only be too happy to accommodate any such request.

Remembrance Weekend

Dear Member Clubs,

Remembrance Weekend

This weekend is Remembrance Weekend. A minutes silence should be held before each game on Saturday and Sunday.

The League are also happy for teams to wear adhesive poppies that many teams have purchased from www.poppies4kits.co.uk
