League Update
Dear Member Clubs,

Last weekend quite a few games were postponed due to water logged pitches. Please remember to try and reverse your fixture when this happens.

Can I please ask that Managers telephone the away team and referee rather than sending a text message and assuming that the message has got through, as a couple of teams travelled to their fixture to find out when they arrived, the match had either been called off the day before or that morning.

Some teams have to travel quite a distance and is not fair on them, to find on arrival that they have had a wasted journey, remember this could also happen to your team one week and I am sure you would not be very happy.

Likewise, referees are asked to be at the pitch 30 minutes before kick off (although this is not always possible if they are coming from another game) so if they have to travel a distance they also should be telephoned.  Please remember if a referee turns up then they are entitled to half the referee fee if they have not been contacted.  Unfortunately a sent text message does not mean it has been received.
If you have to send a text then ask for it to be acknowledged and please do not just assume. If you do not get a response then please telephone.

MHRML Rules

Dear Member Clubs,

The Management Committee once again need to remind all Clubs that our Rules are quite clear and state "NO CARD - NO PLAY" regardless of the age group.

Yet again last weekend a team tried to play a player by producing his ID and no card. This is totally unacceptable and is not fair on the player who has been taken along and then to be told no sorry you cannot play.

Our registration guidelines are quite clear and registration cards are constantly being produced and collected by Clubs every week so there is NO EXCUSE to try and break our rules.

If you can pass this on to all Managers and perhaps parents as they are the ones that seem to be the most upset as to why their child cannot play.

League Update - October 2014
Dear Member Clubs,

The Management Committee would inform you that all realignment has now been completed. The U8's and U10's being finished today.

Can you please ask Managers to check Mitoo for any changes in respect of their teams.

Christmas - Two Free Weeks

As per the League Rules 2 free weeks are given over the Christmas period therefore there will be no fixtures on the weekends 20th/21st and 27th/28th of December.

League Cup and League Shield

The draws will be taking place next week for the League Cup and League Shield for U13 upwards with the first rounds hopefully being played in November.

Divisional Cups

Firstly no Clubs have come forward to say they are interested in hosting the Divisional Cup Finals. The Management Committee therefore propose to book The Hive in Edgware who have hosted our Divisional Cup Finals for the last two years unless written objection is received by The General Secretary within the next 7 days.

The draw for U13 upwards will also be done next week.

For U9 to U12 the draws will be done over the Christmas holidays after any further realignment is made to these age groups.

U7 Festivals

Full details will be sent out in the next couple of days but the next U7 Festivals will be held on Saturday the 29th of November and Saturday the 6th of December.

Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

We have been asked by a Club if the League will allow them to wear Remembrance Poppies which stick on to their football kits for Remembrance Sunday.

The League are happy to support this and would encourage all clubs and teams to wear the adhesive poppies on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of November.

If your Club are interested please click on the following link www.poppies4kits.co.uk

League Update

Fixtures

I would like to Clarify the following:-

There will be NO fixtures for age groups U8, U9 and U10's ONLY on the first weekend of half term i.e. 25th of October.

There will BE fixtures for all age groups from U11 upwards on the weekend of the 25th and 26th of October.

The Committee will be looking at age groups U10 through to U18 and any teams that are moved will be done after the weekends fixtures on the 19th of October.

Referees

The League are still experiencing problems with referee appointments on a Sunday and some of our referees are being taken off League games at short notice. Unfortunately there is nothing that we can do as County Cup appointments take preference to any other games.

As per the League Rules please ensure the following Rule is complied with:-

(v) If no referee can be found for the fixture by 11am on Thursday morning then responsibility to find a referee will be passed back to clubs in line with the league rule 13 (B).
(B) In the event of the non-appearance of the appointed Referee the appointed senior Assistant Referee shall take charge and a substitute Assistant Referee appointed by the competing teams.  In cases where there are no officially appointed Assistant Referees, or where the competition has been unable to appoint a Referee, the Clubs shall agree upon a Referee.  The following procedure will be adopted to reach agreement:
(i) The Home Team should attempt to secure the services of an independent qualified referee who is affiliated to a County FA.
(ii) If the Home Team has been unable to secure an independent qualified referee, they should contact the manager of the Away Team no less than 48 hrs before the scheduled kick off time for the match.
(iii) The Away Team can then have the opportunity to secure the services of an independent qualified referee who is affiliated to a County FA.
(iv) If both Home and Away teams have been unable to secure the services of an independent qualified referee, then the Managers must agree on a qualified referee as a replacement.
(v) The Away Team Manager will have the first opportunity to secure the services of a qualified referee and if unable the Home Team Manager will seek to secure the services of a qualified referee.
(vi) If both Home and Away Team have been unable to secure the services of a qualified referee then both Managers must agree on a suitable replacement.
(vii) The Away Team Manager will have the opportunity to make the first suggestion as to who should be given the task of acting as the referee. If the Away Team Manager is unable to do so then the Home Team Manager will then make a suggestion.
Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards.
