Poor Conduct / Behaviour

The Grassroots Code is designed to unite everyone across grassroots football, driving positive standards of behaviour we can all get behind

Working with grassroots clubs, England Football have created The Grassroots Code which sets out the standards everyone expects to see across the grassroots game

This includes five Standards of Behaviour essential to a positive football environment, clearly defined so that everyone can understand and remember them:

• Enjoy the Game - we're here to enjoy ourselves... win, lose or draw
• Give Respect - we always treat others as we'd like to be treated
• Be Inclusive - we embrace our differences... football is a game for everyone
• Work Together - we're a team, on and off the pitch
• Play Safe - we all have a role in safeguarding children

Good behaviour deserves everyone's respect

We encourage any of our clubs or its members to report any poor behaviour they have witnessed during or after a football match so that appropriate action can be taken.

Authority for these matters lies with the County FA a club is affiliated to - the League has no authority to investigate and sanction conduct and/or behaviour at matches but can implement supportive measures such as Committee attendance or ensuring a strong referee is allocated to a particular match following an FA investigation as appropriate.

Please see links below for each CFA to report poor behaviour - please also ensure you copy in the League Discipline Officer and the relevant age group Fixtures Secretary:
